A ‘Pre-Bid Meeting’ for the captioned tender was conducted as per schedule at 11:00 Hrs on August 28, 2023, in the Conference room - III, 3rd Floor, Reserve Bank of India, Chennai. The following officials of the Bank and intending bidders were present during the pre-bid meeting:

The following queries were raised during the pre-bid meeting. Clarifications given by the Bank are as follows:

1 In what form, the stipulated 5% security deposit (SD) should be submitted by the successful bidder? As per clause No. 6 under Section: F- ‘General Instructions to the bidder’ of the tender document, SD can be submitted in the following forms,

‘the successful Bidder shall furnish an amount of 5% of the contract value in the form of online transfer (NEFT/RTGS) to RBI A/c or Demand Draft (DD) or in the form of a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) from any scheduled Bank in the form prescribed by the Bank (which will be submitted along with letter of acceptance) towards Security Deposit (SD) for the due fulfilment of the contract.’
2 Whether EMD is to be remitted by the intending bidder? If yes, in what form? As per clause No. 6 under Section: F- ‘General Instructions to the bidder’ of the tender document, Bidders shall pay the specified amount as Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) by NEFT / RTGS in favour of Reserve Bank of India, Chennai. Under no circumstances EMD will be accepted in the form of fixed deposits of the bank or cheque etc.
3. Whether employer’s contribution towards EPF, ESI and bonus payments are reimbursable? In case the lowest bidder is ESI / EPF registered contractor, the expense / contributions made by the contractor in this regard shall be reimbursed by the Bank on production of actual documentary evidence.

The contractor shall ensure the payment of bonus, payable under relevant Acts, Laws etc. The bonus paid by the contractor shall be reimbursed by the Bank, in terms of the relevant acts, laws etc., on production of actual documentary evidence.

Note: Above amendments / clarifications are issued for the information for all intending bidders. Minutes of the pre-bid meeting shall form part of tender. All other parts of the tender document continue to remain unaltered. Submission of tenders shall be construed to be in conformity to the bid document and amendments / clarifications.
