Limited E-tender was invited for the captioned work on June 16, 2022 and as per SOT, pre-bid meeting was conducted at 11.00 P.M on July 14, 2022. The meeting was attended by three empaneled firms as below -

  1. M/s Otis Elevators Company (India) Ltd.

  2. M/s Johnson Lifts Pvt. Ltd.

  3. M/s Schindler India Pvt. Ltd.

2. During the meeting, the vendors were briefed about the scope of work, in detail, and were appraised about the necessary precautions to be taken while executing the work, being VIP premises, etc.

3. Following queries were raised by the participants;

04 Vendor informed that for lifts with speed of 1.0 m/s and low height building oil / hydraulic type buffers are not provided, instead spring buffers are used

Provide spring buffers for car and counterweight.
05 Vendor asked about the thickness of lift flooring engineered granite / marble tiles with inlays to be provided in lift car

Provide Granite of minimum 10 mm thick Engineered Granite / Marble tiles with inlays as approved by the Bank.
06 Whether to provide Hands Free Operation to prevent COVID19 using proximity switches, readers & cards

Provide Hands Free Operation to prevent COVID19 as per OEM standards.
07 Vendor asked whether to provide EPABX system in lift car
[Section VII,11.Products-11.01]
Tenderer shall not provide EPABX system in lift car. But additional telephone wiring shall be provided in lift car up to building crone box available in lift machine room with intercom telephone instrument.
08 Vendor informed that they could not provide Lift well access switches on top and bottom floors, as it will affect safety of lift also it is not mandatory

We may accede to their request.
09 Sandwich type door panels are not provided whereas normal stainless-steel panels / OEM manufactured door panels are provided

Provide stainless steel panel doors as per OEM standards.
10 Vendor asked as per tender, whether they have to provide all switches and devices in pit / shaft / machine room of suitable IP rated or not?

Provide all switches and devices in pit / shaft / machine room of suitable IP rated only.
11 Recovery of 1 % towards water charges is mentioned in the tender
[Clause 31A]
Water will be provided free of cost at suitable location from where they have to tap it.
12 Vendor asked whether Inverter shall be of 1 or half hour battery backup for lighting, emergency alarm and blower
[Section VII,11.Products-11.01]
Provide Inverter of minimum 1 hour battery backup for lighting, emergency alarm and blower.
13 Whether OEM’s umbrella insurance towards damages to Persons and Property is acceptable to Bank or not
[Clause 33]
No change. Follow the tender terms & conditions.
14 Vendor asked for considering the virtual completion date of each lift separately instead of virtual completion of last lift to commence the DL & CAMC period
[Clause SC 10]
Based on virtual completion of the work of respective lift, it’s DLP and CAMC shall commence. The initial date of completion of CAMC for 2nd lift shall be same as that of 1st lift’s CAMC, and thereafter the annual CAMC of both lift shall continued.
15 Vendor asked for removal of clause mentioned in scope of work during CAMC ; (vi) In case of breakdown due to water entry in pit due to rain or water entry from upper floor landings during fire drills, pit switch and other equipment if become defective, same shall be replaced without any charge and to be covered under CAMC

No change. Follow the tender terms & conditions.

4. All remaining other terms and conditions of the tender shall remain same.

Above changes are not causing any financial implications and thus the total estimated cost remains unchanged.
