Provision of Note Counting Machines on the counters
- UCBs
Please refer to our circular UBD.Plan.PCB. 33
/ 09.73.00 / 99-2000 dated 13 May 2000 regarding securing of currency note packets
with paper bands and avoiding stapling / stitching of note packets. In terms
of paragraph 4 of the circular referred to above, Scheduled Primary (Urban)
Co-operative Banks were advised to install dual display note counting machines
at the payment counters of their branches in sufficient numbers for the use
of customers.
2. It has now been decided that all Primary
(Urban) Co-operative Banks should install dual display note counting machines
at the payment counters of their branches for the use of their customers towards
building confidence in the minds of the public to accept note packets secured
with paper bands.
