Consolidation/ Review of instructions issued on currency management matters – Withdrawal of Circulars/ Guidelines

In pursuance of the Reserve Bank’s ongoing initiative to rationalise the regulatory framework, a review of instructions issued on currency management related matters has been undertaken. The exercise involved consolidation of extant circulars/ guidelines into function-wise Master Directions (MDs) and subject-specific instructions.

2. Accordingly, the instructions listed in the Annex, comprising those which have been consolidated into Master Directions, as well as those which have become obsolete or redundant, stands withdrawn.
