Today, the Reserve Bank released the July 2026 issue of its monthly Bulletin. The Bulletin includes two speeches, one article and current statistics. The article is on the State of the Economy. State of the Economy The global economy is continuing with the heightened uncertainties emanating from fragile geopolitics and supply chain pressures. The domestic economy has navigated the external uncertainties well, underpinned by healthy demand conditions and resilient performance of the industrial and services sector. Headline retail inflation inched up in June while core inflation, especially excluding precious metals remained low. Liquidity conditions improved further, supporting the ongoing robust credit growth. India’s external sector remains steady with improving outlook, aided by inflows of foreign investments. The views expressed in the Bulletin article are those of the authors and do not represent the views of the Reserve Bank of India. (Brij Raj) Chief General Manager Press Release: 2026-2027/735 | |
