Andrew Crockett was General
Manager of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). Before joining the BIS,
he was Executive Director of the Bank of England, between 1989 and 1993, responsible
for International Affairs. In that capacity, he was a member of the Monetary Committee
of the European Union, and of Working Party No. 3 of the OECD. He was Alternate
Governor of the International Monetary Fund for the United Kingdom (1989-93),
and was elected Chairman of Working Party 3 of the OECD in September 1993. From
1972 to 1989, Andrew Crockett was a staff member of the International Monetary
Fund. He has a number of publications to his credit. |
