Sir, Disbursement of wages to Civilian Industrial/Non-Industrial
employees of all AOCs’ (North Command- Jammu, Central Command- Lucknow, Eastern
Command- Kolkata, Western Command- Chandigarh and Southern Command- Pune) on 31st
January 2004 instead of Ist week of February 2004 We
have been advised by the Controller General of Accounts, Government of India that
in view of the ensuing "Id-Ul-Zuha" festival on 2nd February 2004,
Government have decided that wages of civilian Industrial/Non-Industrial employees
of all AOCs’ North Command-Jammu, Central Command-Lucknow, Eastern Command-Kolkata,
Western Command-Chandigarh and Southern Command-Pune for the month of January
2004 be paid in advance on 31st January 2004 instead of first week
of February 2004. The wages so disbursed in advance are
to be treated as advance payments and will be subject to adjustment after the
full month's wages of each employee are determined. The adjustment, if any, will
be made without exception from the wages for the month of February, 2004. Please
