The framework for concentration risk management for NBFCs is outlined under the Reserve Bank of India (Non-Banking Financial Companies – Concentration Risk Management) Directions, 2025. The Reserve Bank has undertaken a review of these provisions for NBFC – Upper Layer. Accordingly, the draft ‘Reserve Bank of India (Non-Banking Financial Companies - Concentration Risk Management) Third Amendment Directions, 2026’ have been issued for public comments.
