Minutes of Pre-Bid Meeting - Modification/Creation of Two-Wheeler Parking Sheds (3 Nos) at Bank's Officers' Quarters, Belhaven, Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram

Pre-bid meeting for the captioned tender was conducted as per the schedule on October 05, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Conference room at 2nd floor of the Main office building. List of participants are as indicated below:

2. Shri Shaji krishnan K, Assistant General Manager welcomed the participants to the meeting and invited queries, if any, regarding the captioned tender. The details of the queries raised by the Contractors and clarifications of the Bank are tabulated below:

1 What is the make of sheets and sections It was informed that the make of sheets and sections to be of TATA company and if same is not available approved equivalent can be used. Further, it was informed that two trees to be cut for the work.
2 Whether rubble or bricks should be removed for the work It was informed that steps are to be created and hence some portion of rubble masonry work to be dismantled. Brick masonry walls are also to be dismantled after cutting the trees.
3 What is the thickness of block masonry 200mm thick cement block masonry is proposed for the retaining wall and if any parapet is to be created, the same shall be done with 100mm thick block masonry.
4 Where is the location for brick work to be carried out Brick work shall be carried out for creating the basement of the shed. As the height is less, brick work is considered.
5 Whether Rubble work is to be done below retaining wall Rubble work is proposed for re-constructing the damaged portion of retaining wall and the same shall be done with rubble available at site on dismantling the existing masonry. If excess rubble is required for the work, the cost shall be reimbursed to the same. It was informed that sufficient rubble is available for executing the work.
6 Where should the M sand be spread and what should be the thickness Below the foundation with 50mm deep for strengthening the underneath soil.
7 How many sheds are to be created and where is the location No. of sheds to be created is 3. Locations have been indicated in the drawings. One old shed near F block needs to be dismantled and buyback option for the same is available.
8 What is the thickness of the metallic roofing sheets It was clarified that the thickness of the sheet for roofing is 0.47 mm and that for side covering is 0.37mm.

3. In addition to above clarifications, Manager (Tech-Civil) has explained in detail the relevant technical aspects of the work.

4. Contractors were apprised that successful bidder shall submit a Performance Bank Guarantee for 5% of the contract amount.

5. Further, contractors were advised to get registered in new MSTC Portal for participation in tender. They were also advised not to wait till the last day for submission of the bid since any technical issue may be sorted out well in advance before closure time of bidding.

6. Bidders shall note that all the above clarifications provided by the Bank during the pre-bid meeting along with details indicated in the Tender document shall form part of the Tender/Contract.

7. The meeting concluded at 11:30 AM.
