Minutes of the Pre-Bid Meeting - Supply of closed metal body container, air-conditioned passenger vehicle for transportation and delivery of notes in Nagpur City and supply of labour on contract basis

Addendum/Corrigendum

(E-tender No: RBI/Nagpur/Issue/17/22-23/ET/558)

The pre-bid meeting for the captioned work was conducted in Meeting room in Issue Department, Nagpur on February 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the presence of Reserve Bank of India (hereafter called as Bank) officials where the following prospective tenderers participated.

For Reserve Bank of India:

The following queries were raised by the tenderers in the meeting and Bank’s response to the same is also provided below.

“….Currency Chests in Nagpur City where each and all the destinations is/are reached by the shortest motorable road and the total distance covered is up to 50 km….” Do we have to cover Currency chests located within the radius of 25 kms from RBI, Nagpur office? Yes, Currency Chests upto 50 kms (to and fro) are covered under this contract.
2 Section IV- Commercial conditions Clause 1.11 “The containers supplied by the contractor shall be less than 10 years old and the air-conditioned taxis shall be less than 3 years old.” Whether any relaxation in the age of the passenger vehicles can be granted?

Whether documents of only less than 3-year-old passenger vehicles and less than 10 year old containers should be uploaded?
It was clarified that passenger taxis should not be more than 3 years old as mentioned in the tender document. No relaxation can ne granted in this criterion.

Yes, only the documents of less than 3 year old passenger vehicle and less than 10 year old container should be uploaded.
3 Section IV- Commercial Conditions
Point 1.1
The applicant must have a minimum of five trucks and at least three should be owned by him. What is the need of self-owned 3 containers? If there is large frequency of note remittances, that should not hamper the work. When fresh notes remittance arrives with around 400 boxes, the extra containers should be provided to get the work done.
4. Not provided in the tender document   Whether MSMEs are exempted from paying EMD and tender fee? No. Exemptions for companies registered under MSME is applicable only for all the procurements (goods, services, work contracts) having an estimated cost of up to Rs. 10 lakh. Since the estimated cost of this tender is more than 10 lakhs, MSME bidders are not eligible for any exemptions.
