GB Lifting 2. Following a brief introduction by the Bank regarding the E-tender, various queries were raised by the prospective /interested bidders, which were clarified by the Bank. Summary of the same is furnished below: | Sr. No. | Query | Clarification / Response given | | 1. | What is the maximum height of container that can be used for transportation of banknotes? | In terms of Para viii in the Eligibility section of the Section III (Scope of Work) of the tender document (Page No. 25 of the tender), only closed containers of height less than 9 feet would be allowed to be used by the contractor. | | 2. | What is the length of container to be used for transportation of banknotes? | Container’s length should be sufficient enough to hold the maximum of 75 boxes of dimensions 82*71*32* cm (approx.) weighing approx.140 kgs. | | 3. | Whether container truck/vehicle should have CCTV and GPS? | It was clarified that the contractor shall supply sufficient number of fully covered container trucks/vehicles having metallic body of sufficient thickness, preferably bullet / tamper proof with secure tamper proof double locking arrangement, enabled with Global Positioning System (GPS) and CCTV cameras covering whole area of the container with at least backup of 90 days. | | 4. | What is the minimum storing capacity of container truck/ vehicle? | Minimum storing capacity of a container should be 30 note boxes of dimensions 82*71*32* cm (approx.) weighing approx.140 kgs. | | 5. | How much experience is required to be eligible for the tender? | Minimum five years of experience in undertaking similar work. | | 6. | What does “Sl.No.2 (Price Bid) is subject to minimum charges covering a distance of 25 Kms” means? | It was clarified that the fixed minimum charges will be given to the contractor for covering a distance equal to or less than 25 km. If container truck/vehicle covers more than 25 km, contractor will be paid on the basis of per km covered by the truck/vehicle. | | 7. | What is the security deposit for the work? Can it be lowered? | Security deposit for the work is ₹1,07,500 (Rupees One Lakh Seven Thousand and Five Hundred only), which is fixed (5% of the estimated cost) as per extant instructions. | 3. These minutes of pre-bid meeting shall form the part of the tender document/agreement. 4. The Bank will not be bound to entertain any further query/clarification from any vendor/contractor in future. | |
