Notice 1. Sealed two-part
tenders are invited for 'Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning
of three Electrical Lifts'(Passenger) for Bank's Main Office Building at the estimated
to cost Rs. 78.00 lakh and is to be completed within 34 weeks. 2.
Only contractors having minimum 5 years of experience in the field of undertaking
'Design, supply, installation testing and commissioning of Electrical Lift' (Passengers)
and have executed two or more similar works individually costing not less than
Rs. 39 Lakh during last 3 years and have a minimum yearly turn over of Rs 23.40
lakh during the last 3 years, and also have a full-fledged service setup either
at Ahmedabad or at (name of the nearby city/place) wherefrom required quality
after-sales services can be provided, will be eligible for the work. 3.
The tender forms will be issued only to the contractors who furnish the detailed
information in writing /documents to satisfy the Bank about their eligibility
to tender. If they fail to satisfy the Bank; the tender-form shall not be issued.

4. Tender forms will be issued on all working days from 11/08/2008
to 01/09/2008 up to 2.00 P. M. on a non-refundable payment of Rs.1000/-per set.
In case of downloaded documents, the cost of Rs.1000/-along with complete
detailed information/documents in proof of their being eligible to tender for
the work, will have to be submitted in a separate sealed cover up to 2:00 p.m.
on or before 01/09/2008. These separate sealed covers shall be opened on the same
day for scrutiny. After scrutiny, if a contractor is not found to possess the
eligibility, its tenders will not be opened. Pre-bid meeting will be held with
intending contractors on 10/09/2008 at 11.00 A.M. 5. Tenders
along with the EMD of Rs.1,56,000/- shall be received in sealed cover addressed
by name to Shri B. Srinivas , Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Ahmedabad
up to 2:00 p.m. on 22/09/2008. Part
I will be opened at 3:00 p.m. on 29 /09/2008 in the presence of tenderers’
authorized representatives who choose to be present. Part
II will be opened on a subsequently announced date. 6.
The Bank is not bound to accept the lowest tender and reserves the right to accept
either in full or in part any tender and to reject all the tenders without assigning
