All the vendors were of the opinion that the rates quoted should be made exclusive of applicable GST, as different categories of vendors are charged different rates of GST and some of them are eligible for input credit and some are not eligible. Similarly any future change introduced in the GST rates by the GST Council will affect the rates quoted by the vendors. Hence to avoid these anomalies and sake of uniformity in the rates to be quoted by all vendors, rates quoted should be made exclusive of applicable GST.
