We would like to clarify that degraded mode is not a substitute for CPU redundancy. In degraded mode, failure of the Main CPU may result in activation of all hooters and control outputs, while the display becomes unavailable, making it impossible to identify the exact location of the fire. In contrast, a redundant CPU operates in hot standby mode and automatically takes over upon failure of the Main CPU, ensuring uninterrupted system operation with full functionality.
Hence, we request that degraded mode operation should not be accepted as an alternative to CPU redundancy, and bidders should be required to provide a secondary (hot standby) CPU to ensure a fully compliant, reliable, and fail-safe solution. | Degrade mode is optional, not mandatory.
