The ‘Pre-Bid Meeting’ for the captioned work was conducted as per schedule at 11.00 AM, on January 06, 2025 at Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Estate Department, Reserve Bank of India, Bengaluru. The following staff members of RBI and representatives of the prospective bidders were present during the pre-bid meeting:

The following queries / issues were raised / discussed during the pre-bid meeting. The clarifications given by the Bank with respect to each of these queries / issues, as well as to the additional queries submitted by M/s. Renuka Consultants (Explorers & Designers) via email and amendment to the existing conditions are as follows:

1 List of number and type of non-destructive tests to be conducted on RC members for complete assessment. Type/ category and number of tests were finalized in Pre-Bid Meeting in consultation with all three Structural Consultants as enclosed in Annex A. Additional test/s (in terms of numbers of points/ locations / blocks as applicable to each type), if any, found necessary to conclusively complete the structural assessment of the block/s / building/s, shall be carried out by the appointed consultant with no additional cost to the Bank’.
2 Section V- Building Details and Scope of Work: We request you to provide the detailed built-up area for each floor, along with the floor plans or room configurations (e.g., number of 1BHK/2BHK units and balconies per floor). As per the policy, the actual built-up area must be verified by the appointed consultant to ensure accurate structural analysis. Drawings shall be obtained from the office of the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Estate Department, Bengaluru on any Bank’s working day and Bank’s Office hours, before submitting the RFPs.
3 Sl No: 19 of Section III of Tender Document- Insurance in respect to damages to persons and property: Is Police verification is mandatory? Police verifications for the workmen and supervisors who may be required to work inside the security area of the Bank’s office building is mandatory. Given that the captioned work will be conducted in residential premises, strict adherence to all terms, conditions, and safety protocols stipulated in the tender document is mandatory.

6 Amendment: S.No. 24 in the Section IV – Special Conditions of Contract in the tender:

The holes / voids created while extracting the cores for semi-destructive tests, replastering of such areas, repairs to false ceiling work, wherever testing has been done, shall be repaired / restored by the Consultant without any additional payment and cost of the same shall be included in the quoted rate. Rates shall be quoted accordingly.
The holes / voids created while extracting the cores for semi-destructive tests, replastering of such areas, repairs to false ceiling work, wherever testing has been done, shall be repaired / restored by the Consultant with structurally compatible material as per CPWD specifications all complete, as directed by Bank’s Engineer, without any additional payment and cost of the same shall be included in the quoted rate. Rates shall be quoted accordingly.

Note: Above amendments / clarifications are issued for information to all intending bidders. Minutes of the pre-bid meeting shall form part of tender. All other parts of the tender document continue to remain unaltered. Submission of tenders shall be construed to be in conformity to the bid document and amendments/clarifications.

f. Field Permeability Test on Concrete The field Permeability Test may not be required, since no exposed concrete has been observed and all the members are provided with plastering.
g. Half-Cell potential measurement test 4 blocks x 6 nos. = 24 nos.
h. Carbonation test 24 nos.
i. Chemical test on hardened concrete 24 nos.
j. Ultrasonic test on hardened test for steel members The measurement of thickness of steel members by using Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge may not be required as structural steel members in the existing system is not observed
k. Load Test Not required.
