The Deputy General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Issue Department, Bhubaneswar - 751001 invites sealed tenders from reputed and experienced transport contractor(s) /operator(s) having container service preferably container with thick metal bodies and also with secure/tamper- proof locking arrangement having loading capacity of 9/10/20 tons for transportation of coins at their own risk without police escort from Reserve Bank of India, Bhubaneswar to currency chests at various locations in the state of Odisha in course of which they are required to supply labour as well for loading and unloading of coins. The service contract will be for a period of one year i.e., from April 01, 2017 to March 31, 2018 with the option of renewal of contract for the next two years (one year at a time).The contractor/operator shall provide containers/trucks for transportation of coins exclusively as per specification given in the General Terms and Conditions. The containers/trucks provided by the contractor/operator should have GPS facility and valid permits as required for remittance of coins with transporter’s/carrier’s risk. The contractor/operator will be required to submit an irrevocable bank guarantee for a sum of at least Rs. 2 Crore (Rupees Two Crore) only, in favour of the Reserve Bank of India which may be increased up to 50% of the aforesaid amount in case of exigencies. More than one contractor may be engaged for this purpose subject to certain terms and conditions mentioned in the Tender document. Application form may be collected along with General Terms and Conditions from Deputy General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Issue Department, Bhubaneswar - 751001 up to March 10, 2017 (can also be downloaded from www.rbi.org.in). The Tender Form duly filled in may be submitted in a sealed envelope superscribing “Tender for Transportation of coins with transporter’s/ carrier’s risk” addressed to Deputy General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Issue Department, 1st Floor, Bhubaneswar - 751001 so as to reach him latest by 2.00 p.m. on March 24, 2017. The tender form will be opened on the same day at 3.00 p.m. in the presence of authorised officials or his representative authorised in writing by the tenderer. The Bank reserves the rights to reject any or all the tenders without giving any reason therefor.
