in State of Maharashtra (excluding Vidarbha Region), State of Goa and Union Territory

One
post has been kept reserved for Physically Handicapped Person (Hearing Impaired
Partially Deaf), who will be considered on 'relaxed standards.' (Persons suffering
from not less than 40% of the relevant disability shall alone be eligible for
the benefit of reservation). However, persons with following

Notes : The Bank reserves its right to increase
/ decrease the number of vacancies or not to fill up the vacancies in any
of the posts / both the posts as per its requirement.
I. Eligibility
Conditions Applicant must fulfill the following
conditions. a) Educational Qualification Junior
Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Matriculation
or equivalent examination with Diploma in Civil / Electrical Engineering of a
recognised University or Board. Candidates must have obtained their educational
qualification from Universities / Boards located within the Recruitment Zone,
viz. Boards / Universities situated in the State of Maharashtra (excluding Vidarbha
Region) & Goa, Union Territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and State of
Gujarat. b) Experience Junior Engineer
(Civil) At least one year's practical experience
in execution / supervision of construction work and maintenance of building with
a fair knowledge of R.C.C design and other civil works. Junior
Engineer (Electrical) At least one year's practical
experience in high tension & low tension electrical installations of large
buildings and industrial structures. Experience in preparation of bills of quantities
for internal and external installations in large office buildings, residential
buildings, complexes, is desirable. c) Age
Between 18 to 28 years as on 01.10.2008 The upper age
limit is relaxable in case of : i) Ex-Servicemen to the extent of service rendered
by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years, subject to a maximum
of 50 years.ii) Widows / Divorced women legally separated but
not re-married upto 38 years ( 41 years for OBC). iii) Other
Backward Classes (OBCs) by 3 years, i.e. upto 31 years. iv)
Physically Handicapped Persons (PHP) by 10 years & 13 years for OBCs v)
Ex-employees of Banking Institutions / Government Offices who were retrenched
after one year's service provided they apply through Employment Exchange, by 6
years. II. Pay & Allowances Initial
starting pay of Rs.6,750/- per mensem in the scale of Rs.5450-220-6110-320-7390-430-9110-530-10700-700-14200
(20 years). Plus Additional Special Pay of Rs.150/- and allowances admissible
from time to time. The total monthly emoluments at the current rates of allowances
will be Rs.11,513/- approximately. III) Description
of Duties Junior Engineer (Civil) Supervision
of civil construction work and maintenance of buildings and other related jobs. Junior
Engineer (Electrical) Attending to electrical installations
and minor electrical works and other related jobs. IV)
Place of Work The vacancies are in the Western
Zone which comprises the Bank's offices at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad.
Selected candidates may be posted at any of these centres. V. General
important instructions A)
Candidates holding higher qualification such as a Degree in Civil and Electrical
Engineering are not eligible to apply. B) Date of Birth as recorded
in the School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate / Certificate of Domicile
/ Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation will be accepted as a proof
of age. C) The ex-servicemen, who have passed the qualifying
examination from outside the Recruitment Zone either before or after leaving military
service are eligible. D) Merely fulfilling eligibility criteria
does not entitle candidate to be called for interview. The Bank reserves
the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards etc. in order to restrict
the number of candidates to be called for interview commensurate with the number
of vacancies. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final.
VI.
Definition of Ex-Serviceman "Ex-serviceman
means a person, who has served in any rank (whether as a combatant or as a non-combatant)
in the regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union but does not include
a person who has served in the Defence Security Corps, the General Reserve Engineering
Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the para Military forces and who has retired from
such service after earning his/her pension: or who has been released from such
service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond
his control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or who has been released,
otherwise than on his own request, from such service as a result of reduction
in establishment; or who has been released from such service after completing
the specific period of engagement, otherwise than at his own request or by way
of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, and has been
given a gratuity and includes personnel of the Territorial Army of the following
categories, namely : pension holders for continuous embodied service; i)
person with disability attributable to military service, and ii) gallantry
award winners" VII. Selection Process Subject
to the eligibility criteria and conditions laid down above, selection will be
made through skill test and interviews of eligible candidates. Candidate selected
for recruitment will be placed on Wait List to be prepared for each category. VIII. How
to Apply i) Candidate
must apply in the prescribed format of application published herewith. Format
of application may also be down loaded from our web-site www.rbi.org.in.
Application in any other format will be rejected.
ii)
The format of the application form published herewith should not itself
be used as application. Foolscap sheet (33 cm X 21 cm) should be used for the
application. Application may be preferably typewritten or neatly hand written
in Marathi / Hindi / English. iii) Attested copies of all relevant
documents / certificates should be attached. Latest signed passport size photograph
(3 cm X 2.5 cm) should be affixed on the right hand top corner of the application. iv)
The application should be sent by ordinary post only or may be deposited in the
box kept at the entrance to the RBI's Main Office Building on any day between
10.30 a.m. and 04.00 p.m. on week days (except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays)
in a cover superscribed 'Application for the post of _______________'.

or any acknowledgement given thereof. IX) Ineligibility
Before applying for any of the posts mentioned in the advertisement,
the candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility norms in all respects
as mentioned in the advertisement on the date specified. Applications incomplete
in any respect not accompanied by relevant documents/certificate and/or received
late shall be rejected. Bank's decision in this regard shall be final. The Bank
reserve the right to reject any application / candidature at any stage of the
recruitment process without assigning any reason/s. X)
Closing Date Application complete in all respects
must reach the Bank's Office on the aforesaid address latest by 27.10.2008. XI)
Warning i) No correspondence will be entered
into with candidates not found eligible/not considered for interviews. ii)
Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. Any attempt on the part of
the candidate to obtain support for his/her candidature by any means such as submitting
fabricated documents, making statements which are incorrect/false, suppressing
material information, resorting to irregular or improper means in connection with
his/her candidature using unfair means etc. shall be disqualifying factor. If
