In connection with the captioned tender, a pre bid meeting was held at 11:00 AM on April 25, 2017 in the Meeting Room, 4th Floor MOB, RBI, Ahmedabad. The meeting was attended by representatives of M/s Shakti Fixtures Pvt Ltd, M/s Orient Electric and M/s Drupe LED. The meeting was headed by DGM Estate who stated at the outset that the purpose of the meeting was to clarify any doubts/queries regarding the said tender. The meeting was also attended by other officials of Estate Department, who were present to answer the queries of the participants. The issues raised by the participants & clarifications by the Bank are as under: -
On request of the vendors the Bank has decided to entertain brands equivalent to the makes specified and confirming to all technical specifications, subject to confirming with other eligibility criteria such as turnover, experience as mentioned in Section III. In case quote is by authorised representative of any company, the company’s product must be in market for more than 5 years and the authorised dealer must qualify the eligibility criteria. -
It was pointed out by the vendors present that normally surge protector of 4-5 KV is required/provided, as against 10 KV specified. The specified capacity cannot be inbuilt in the fitting. Hence external surge protector may be allowed. It was clarified that part of it can be in the form of external unit. -
It is clarified that certified rated life of the lamps shall not be less than 50000 burning hours -
Regarding colour temperature it is clarified that it should be as per revised technical chart enclosed. -
Since fittings of 350 W are not commonly available in manufacturing range, firms experience in manufacturing/supply of fittings of 200 W and above will be considered sufficient and will be considered eligible to participate subject to confirming Technical/other eligibility criteria. -
Pre despatch inspection of the fittings at manufacturing works will be conducted in presence of Bank’s technical officer and product not confirming to specifications will be rejected. The supplier will have to furnish test certificate of his product from reputed laboratories accredited by NABL. -
Quoting for all items in Part II is mandatory else tender shall be rejected. -
Delivery time shall be 45 days from Banks work order. -

All tenderers shall take a printout of the same and attach signed copy of the minutes as their acceptance of indicated revision and having taken note of it and enclose the same duly signed stamped & should be enclosed with the part – I of the tender document. The Bank will not seek any additional/supporting document from any vendor after opening of Part I of the tender. On evaluation of the eligibility Technical/commercial credentials based on the application and documents received, the Bank will communicate only to the eligible tenderers and inform them about date of opening of Part II of the tender.
