Workshop Highlights

The Workshop, co-hosted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will seek to advance and elevate the policy dialogue on financial education and literacy in the international arena, particularly in India and countries from the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), and SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-Operation). Participants in this event will benefit from the high-level cross-country context to share international practices and experiences in order to better address their national and regional challenges.

To be inaugurated by the Union Finance Minister of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, the Workshop will also be addressed by the RBI Governor Dr. D. Subbarao, and its Deputy Governors and the OECD Deputy Secretary-General Ambassador Richard Boucher. The Workshop, will have as speakers prominent representatives of central banks, public authorities, private and civil experts and researchers in the area of financial education.
