Guidelines On Lending To Priority Sector – Weaker Sections Kindly
refer to Section I, paragraph 8 of our circular RPCD. No. Plan. BC. 84 /04.09.01/2006-07
dated April 30, 2007 on revised guidelines on lending to priority sector. In partial
modification thereof, the following clause may please be added under paragraph
8, of Section I of the said circular. "(j)
loans granted under (a) to (i) above to persons from minority communities as may
be notified by Government of India from time to time. In
States, where one of the minority communities notified is, in fact, in majority,
item (j) will cover only the other notified minorities. These States/Union Territories
are Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Sikkim, Mizoram, Nagaland and Lakshadweep. " 2.
All other stipulations under the revised guidelines remain unchanged. 3.
