All Lead Banks Madam/ Dear Sir, Formation of new districts in the State of Tamil Nadu –
Assignment of Lead Bank Responsibility The Government of Tamil Nadu vide Gazette Notifications G.O. Ms. No.425, 427, 429 and 431 dated November 12, 2019 had notified the formation of five new districts in the State of Tamil Nadu. It has been decided to assign the lead bank responsibility of the new districts as under: | Sr No | Newly Carved District | Erstwhile District | Revenue Divisions under newly created District | Lead Bank Responsibility assigned to | District Working Code allotted to new district | | 1 | Kallakurichi | Viluppuram | Kallakurichi and Tirukoilur | Indian Bank | 00H | | 2 | Tenkasi | Tirunelveli | Tenkasi and Sankarankovil (New) | Indian Overseas Bank | 00I | | 3 | Chengalpattu | Kancheepuram | Chengalpattu, Maduranthagam and Tambaram | Indian Bank | 00J | | 4 | Tirupathur | Vellore | Tirupathur and Vaniyambadi (New) | Indian Bank | 00K | | 5 | Ranipet | Ranipet and Arakkonam (New) | Indian Bank | 00L | 2. Further, the District Working Codes of the new districts have also been allotted for the purpose of BSR reporting by banks. 3.
