Corrigendum - Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Intelligent Analog Addressable Fire Alarm for the Bank’s Main Office Building and Annex Building at RBI, Bhubaneswar

Please refer to the tender notice for the captioned tender published on the Bank’s website www.rbi.org.in on December 30, 2019 inviting application from eligible vendors for DSITC of Intelligent Analog Addressable Fire Alarm for Bank’s Main Office Building and Annex Building at RBI, Bhubaneswar through e-tender route on MSTC website (https://www.mstcecommerce.com/eprochome/rbi/).

Consequent to queries raised by bidders after pre-bid meeting held on January 23, 2020, the queries raised and clarifications given by Bank are appended below:

1. Different OEM have their own methodology to address the detectors/devices. Some manufactures uses manual addressing technique like address /rotary/decade/dip switches while some manufacturer uses electronic addressing. Edwards FDA employs electronic addressing which complies with all NFPA/UL guidelines Soft addressing will be acceptable if the bidders submit in writing that:

i) The software key/dongle, if any, will be handed over to RBI failing which it will not be acceptable and

ii) If required by RBI, for any reason in future, new updated software key/Dongle will be given to RBI without any additional cost.
2. As per UL /NFPA guideline operating temperature of a multisensor should be 0°C to 38°C. Please confirm. The operating temperature range shall be as per OEM standards
3. Different OEM have their own methodology of field programming. Some manufactures uses kepypad and some manufacturer employs software to program. Edwards FDA employs software complying to NFPA /UL requirement. Soft addressing will be acceptable if the bidders submit in writing that:

i) The software key/dongle, if any, will be handed over to RBI failing which it will not be acceptable and

ii) If required by RBI, for any reason in future, new updated software key/Dongle will be given to RBI without any additional cost.
