Transportation of Notes Boxes from / to Railway Stations in Lucknow to / from Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow and from / to Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow to / from Currency Chests, Government of India Presses and other offices of the Reserve Bank of India etc.

1.1 The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow invites sealed tenders in Two Parts from reputed and experienced transporters for ‘Transportation of Notes Boxes from / to Railway Stations in Lucknow to / from Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow and from / to Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow to / from Currency Chests in Uttar Pradesh, Government of India Presses and other offices of the Reserve Bank of India etc. by road by means of Global Positioning System (GPS) enabled, strong fully metal  covered vehicles with doors and locking arrangements as specified in detail in this tender. The contract shall be valid for one year from date of awarding contract and will be extendable for two years at the option of the Bank by extension of one year each on satisfactory performance.

1.2 Tenderer must be an entity having:

I) minimum five years experience in undertaking works of similar nature and scale;

II) Minimum annual turnover of Rs. 15.00 lakh during the last three years supported by audited financial statements;

III) Completed two or more contracts for similar works each costing not less than Rs. 7.50 lakh during the last five years (works completed on or after March 31, 2010).

IV) Contact person in Lucknow with full address and Telephone Numbers (Landline) & Mobile Numbers (KYC proof of the person-Passport/Driving Licence/ Ration Card)

1.3 Tender Document can be obtained from the Remittance Section, Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Lucknow during office hours from the date of publication of notice in the News Papers to 13:00 hours on May 29, 2015 by payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) per set by way of Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque favouring Reserve Bank of India and payable at Lucknow. The Tender document may be downloaded from RBI’s website (www.rbi.org.in under the menu “TENDERS”) also.

1.4 Tenders should be addressed by name to The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow by post or courier. The tenders, duly sealed, may also be deposited in the ‘Quotation Box’ kept in the Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow. The tenders should reach the Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow not later than 14:00 hours IST on May 29, 2015. Tenders submitted through fax or e-mail shall not be accepted.

1.5 A pre-tender briefing / meeting of the intending tenderers shall be held on May 25, 2015 at 15:00 hours at Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow to clarify any point or doubt raised by them in respect of the tender. No separate communication shall be sent for this meeting.

1.6 Part I of the tenders / bids will be opened at 15:00 hours IST on May 29, 2015. The bidders or their authorised representatives shall be allowed to be present during opening of the bids.  Part II (Price Bid) of only such bidders who are found eligible after scrutiny of the Part I bids shall be opened on a subsequent working day, which will be intimated to all the eligible bidders.

1.7 Part I of the tender should, inter alia, contain the following:

(i) Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand Only) in the form of Demand Draft or Banker’s Cheque favouring Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow payable at Lucknow. The EMD can also be deposited in the form of a Bank Guarantee issued by a Scheduled Commercial Bank and valid for two months from the last date of submission of the tenders.

(ii) In case of company/firm, Power of Attorney/Authorisation with the seal of the company/firm in the name of the person signing the tender documents.

(iii) Documentary evidence / certificate in support of the claims made in relation to the eligibility conditions /criteria given in this Tender Document.

(iv) Any other information, the tenderer wishes to furnish should be submitted separately on his letter-head.

1.8 For the proper performance of the obligations under the contract,  contractor shall furnish security deposit of Rs.75,000/- (Rs. Seventy Five Thousand only) in favour of Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow.

1.9 The Bank is not bound to accept the lowest or any other bid and reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason.
