The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Central Board had its 580th meeting today in Bhubaneswar under the Chairmanship of Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor. The Board reviewed the current economic situation and domestic and global challenges. In addition, the Board’s discussions focussed on issues related to urban cooperative banks, extension of Enforcement Policy and Framework to cooperative banks and NBFCs, Report on Trend and Progress of Banking in India for the year 2018-19 and other policy and operational issues. Deputy Governors Shri N. S. Vishwanathan, Shri B. P. Kanungo and Shri Mahesh Kumar Jain and other Directors of the Central Board – Shri N. Chandrasekaran, Shri Bharat Doshi, Shri Sudhir Mankad, Shri Manish Sabharwal, Dr. Ashok Gulati, Dr. Prasanna Kumar Mohanty, Shri Satish Marathe, Shri Swaminathan Gurumurthy and Ms. Revathy Iyer, attended the meeting.
