Corrigendum - Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 2x80 KVA Uninterrupted Power Supply System at Reserve Bank Staff College, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai

Sl.no Clarification sought Clarification furnished
1. Whether vendor has to supply Common Paralleling Output Panel? The vendor has to supply Common Paralleling Output Panel, as specified at para 10 (iii) of section IX of tender document.
2. Whether Common Paralleling Output panel has to be provided in the same room? The Common Paralleling Output Panel has to be provided in the same room, where UPS is to be installed.
3. How many output provisions has to be provided? One common output provision has to be given, as specified at para 10 (iii) of section IX of tender document.
4. Whether the batteries have to be kept in the separate room? Yes. Batteries are required to be kept in the separate room.
5. The Minimum VAH requirement of individual battery banks for providing 30 minute backup for 80 KVA at 0.8 power factor will be more than 57600 VAH. The specifications as stipulated at para 12(k) (iv) of section IX of tender shall remain the same.
6. Whether full load testing will be conducted at factory setup or at site location. The UPS unit shall be tested at factory / contractor’s premises, as specified in para 12 (M) of section IX of tender document.
7. Whether earthing is under contractors scope or not? The Bank shall provide earth point in the UPS room as specified in para 11 of section IX of tender document.
8. Whether bidder has to quote GST separately for UPS and Battery bank? Base Rate and GST Amount to be quoted separately for each item as specified in the portal. No change in quoted rates will be accepted. Please refer to para 7 of Section II (Part I – Commercial conditions) of tender document.
9. Whether amount of Performance Bank Guarantee (sl.no. 19 of Part I - commercial conditions) shall be calculated on the Annual maintenance cost instead of contract amount. The terms and conditions in respect of submission of performance bank guarantee as specified at para 18 (Terms of payment) and para 19 (Performance Bank Guarantee) of Section II of part I of tender document shall remain the same.
10. Whether Client certificate (Annexure II, as mentioned in page no.59 of Tender document) has to be furnished in given format. The Client certificate shall be submitted in the given format only.
12. Whether elevators can be used to lift the UPS and battery bank (approx. 500 kg.) to the desired location. Service lift cannot be used to lift UPS and battery bank.
13. Regarding GST on buyback of old UPS and battery bank. Vendors are advised to refer para 7 of part 1 (Commercial conditions, page no: 11) of Tender document.

Further, vendors are advised to take note that the formula for renewal of the Annual Maintenance Contract, as specified at para 15(f) of section II of part I of the tender should be read as “AC = AP [(15+60x(EPIC/EPIP)+25x(CPIC/CPIP)] / 100”
