The Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh invites sealed two part tender from reputed and experienced Labour contractors (with at least 3 years’ experience) having a license from the Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Government of India as provided under Section 12 (1) of the Contract Labour (Regulations and Abolition) Act, 1970 and Contract Labour (Regulations and Abolition) Central Rules, 1971 and whose antecedents are verified by the police, for supply of labour for carrying out the works specified in the schedule. The period of contract will be initially for one year w.e.f April 01, 2017 to March 31, 2018 which may be extended by the Bank at its discretion for further period of two years, one year each at a time without any variation in terms and conditions of the contract agreement. The extension of the contract will be communicated in writing which should be acknowledged by the party by signing and returning the letter communicating the extension.

Tender application form along with eligibility criteria, schedule of work, general terms and conditions of the agreement can be obtained from the Remittance Section, Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, 1st Floor, Central Vista, Sector 17, Chandigarh - 160017 on any working day, during the period from February 15, 2017 to March 08, 2017 between 10.00 AM and 3.00 PM (excluding Saturday and Sunday or public holiday) or may be downloaded from RBI website (www.rbi.org.in).

3. The Tender in the prescribed form shall be prepared and submitted in two separately sealed envelopes. Part I of the tender will contain application form, eligibility criteria and terms and conditions, Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.50,000/- drawn on a scheduled commercial bank in favour of ‘Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh’ payable at Chandigarh along with all the required documents/ annexures and will be sealed in one envelop, super scribing “Part – I – Tender for Supply of Labour”. Part – II of the tender will contain no conditions and documents but only the Price Bid in the prescribed form and be sealed in a separate envelop, super scribing “Part – II – Tender for Supply of Labour”. Both these envelops shall further be sealed in another envelope super scribing “Tender for Supply of Labour” and addressed to The Regional Director, Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, Central Vista, Sector 17, Chandigarh – 160017. Telegraphic, Fax and E-mail tenders will not be accepted. The full name, postal address, e-mail address and mobile/ telephone number of the tenderer shall be written on the bottom left corner of all the sealed envelopes. Insertions, post scripts, additions and alterations shall not be valid unless confirmed by the tenderers signature. Sealed Tender complete in all respect should be dropped in the tender box kept at the Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, 1st Floor, Central Vista, Sector 17, Chandigarh - 160017 for this purpose on or before 03.00 PM, on March 08, 2017. No tender application will be accepted thereafter. Part I of the tender will be opened at 04:00 PM on the same day in the presence of the tenderers or their authorized representatives, should they choose to be present.

4. Representatives of the tenderers intending to attend the tender opening should bring proper authorization letter from the tenderer to attend the tender opening process. In case due date of opening is a holiday or there is local strike / bandh, tenders will be opened at 11:00 AM on the next working day. If due to any unforeseen circumstances the opening of tenders is postponed, the same will be notified on our notice board.

5. Based on the fulfillment of the terms and conditions of Part I of the tender, Part II will be opened on a subsequent date which will be intimated to the eligible applicants.

The Bank is not bound to accept the lowest tender and reserves the right to accept either in full or in part any tender. The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reasons thereof.
